Some rooms in your home demand a bit of privacy, like bathrooms or rooms that face into a busy street.  In these situations, Ringer Windows is proud to offer patterned privacy glass.

This type of glass allows ample light to pass but it restricts the view, providing privacy to the interior of your home.  Our 2 most common privacy glass packages are Obscure Glass and RAIN Pattern Glass but many more are available.  Ask your Ringer Window Associate for full details.

NEAT - "Nearly" Self Cleaning Glass

neat-glass-tm2inNEAT Glass from Cardinal has often been called "self cleaning" by some people in the window industry.  Cardinal calls this glass "Naturally Clean".  While nothing is totally self-cleaning, Cardinals NEAT glass is about as close as anyone has come!  Ultra thin layers of titanium and silicon dioxides are molecularly bonded to the glass exterior during the manufacturing process. 

It all starts with the sun. The titanium dioxide layer in NEAT glass reacts chemically with the suns UV rays and causes organic materials on the glass to decompose. (It works even on cloudy days).  The silicon dioxide component in NEAT glass makes the glass surface exceptionally smooth and super-hydrophobic.  (Super-hydrophobic is a fancy of way of saying that it's so absolutely flat that water can't stick to it, so it sheets-off after a rain)  This allows natural rainwater to disperse and "sheet off" during a natural rain shower, taking organic materials with it.  It evaporates quickly, leaving the window with virtually no spots.

Laminated - Hurricane Resistant / Security Glass

laminated_breakLaminated glass contains a plastic interlayer between two pieces of flat glass.  Laminated glass is very clear, exceptionally strong, and substantially reduces sound transmissions.

Tempered - Safety Glass

tempered_breakTempered glass, often called safety glass, is often used where required by code or for a specific safety purpose.  When shattered, tempered glass breaks into very small "roundish type" pieces unlike regular annealed glass that turns to slivers and sharp shards.

By code, tempered glass is required around doors, bathtubs, and where glass is close to the floor. Tempered glass looks no different than regular annealed glass but the tempering process makes it twice as strong (structurally speaking) and it's breakage pattern is designed for human safety.
