All our operable windows include a rolled-frame screen with regular nylon screening mesh.  Our screen frames are color-matched to the window vinyl and designed to fit into our accessory pockets.  They can be removed and reinstalled during cleanings.

Screening mesh is not designed to last forever.  It has a useful life of 5 to 10 years before wear & tear becomes an issue.  A few our value-added service options cover the cost of new screens when they wear-out or become damaged.  See our value-added options page for more details.

Ringer Windows also offers solar screening as an upgrade option.  These are available on a window-by-window basis, depending on individual solar heating situations.  Solar screening is substantially darker than our normal screening.  It darkens the view at night, almost to a point where it’s difficult to see outside.  It also tends to hold water during rainy periods, obstructing exterior views during rain showers.  The use of solar screens is a great option but it should be carefully considered.

Screens are NOT designed to prevent falls. Always take care to use screens properly.  Never lean on them for support!
