Our new construction windows are made with nailing flanges, designed for easy and quick installation during new construction. Our replacement versions are made without the flange, designed for retrofit applications. That’s the only difference between our new construction and replacement products!
There is a huge distinction between “new construction” and “replacement” windows in the building and construction industry. Production builders tend to use cheap and inexpensive new construction windows. These windows tend include very thin aluminum products with single strength glass and cheaply made parts from China. They are very inefficient with higher-than-average failure rates. Suffice it to say, these types of windows “barely” pass the quality test that most homeowners expect.
