metal-roof-300Ringer Remodeling is proud to offer a host of high-end shingle and metal roofing products for our clients. We only offer products with 30-year warranty periods or longer. We do not carry entry-level roofing, such as 20-Year, 3-Tab products. They just don’t hold-up very well in Texas so we leave them for others.

Metal Roofing

Metal roofing normally lasts for 50+ years and depending on the product it can be 30% more energy efficient than standard roofing. Metal roofs can also be used in conjunction with water recovery systems so they’re very “green” in that regard. There’s a wide variety of metal roofing styles but there are 2 distinct classifications, those with exposed fasteners (screws) and those with hidden fasteners. At Ringer Remodeling, we only offer hidden fastener systems. The exposed neoprene washers in these fasteners wear out and require maintenance and change-out over time. The way we view it, if you’re a homeowner that’s willing to spend the time and money for a long-term metal roofing system, it should be as maintenance-free as possible.

There are many advantages with metal roofing. Metal is much more durable and withstands wind, heat, and hail much better than regular shingles. Second, metal roofs last much longer, which saves the hassle of nails in the yard and trash all over the place, etc. Put it on and forget about it, that’s our motto! Metal roofing can also reduce your homeowners insurance so make sure to ask your insurance agent about the premium savings!
