Double Strength Glass Print E-mail
superior_sound_controlWhen does 1/16th of an inch make such a huge impact?  It’s the difference between single-strength glass, at 1/16” thick, and double-strength glass, at 1/8th thick.  At Ringer Windows, we always use double strength glass!  The difference may not seem like much, but it’s pretty big in our book!

Many window companies routinely use single-strength glass.  It’s the cheapest glass in the market and it’s extremely fragile.  It’s an easy place for window makers to cut a corner because once glass is installed into a window, it’s difficult to visually see the difference between single and double strength glass.  In these cases, the consumer never knows that their windows are not very strong or very quiet.

Double strength glass is twice as strong as single strength glass, so it really helps make our windows much tougher and more durable than most of our competitors.  Glass is also a structural part of a window system and believe it or not, it helps make our windows structurally superior as well.  Double strength glass is great in helping with superior sound-control.  People are always amazed at how quiet their homes become after we install our windows.  This is due, in large part, to our thicker glass!

We could use thinner glass and drop our prices accordingly but that’s not what we’re all about.  For just a few extra dollars per window, we’re able to offer peace-of-mind with a much stronger, more durable, and quieter window that most.  Welcome to Ringer Windows, home of quality!
