Every Ringer Window comes standard with double paned glass that’s hermetically sealed into a single unit. Once completed, we call these IG units, short for “Insulated Glass Units”. During the production of our IG units, we can fill the sealed space between the 2 panes with Argon gas. Argon is a completely safe gas that occurs naturally in our atmosphere and it’s invisible and heavier than air, thus it provides an extra layer of density and insulation. Argon performance is best utilized in colder (northern) climates but works well, wherever it’s used. |
DOUBLE STRENGTH GLASS
Our commitment to quality continues with the type of glass we use in our windows. At Ringer Windows in Austin, we always use double strength glass! Many manufacturers routinely use single-strength glass into their products. It’s extremely thin and least expensive glass in the market. Once an Insulated Glass Unit is installed into a window, it’s virtually impossible to see the difference between single and double strength glass. It’s a popular place for window makers to cut corners with their windows. NOT RINGER WINDOWS! |
